📖 Verse 1
لِإِيلَافِقُرَيْشٍ
English Tafsir (Al-Sa‘dī):
Allah reminded Quraysh of the favor of unity and stability granted to them.
“Īlāf”: the settled security, familiarity, and cohesion that enabled their livelihood.

إِيلَافِهِمْرِحْلَةَالشِّتَاءِوَالصَّيْفِ
English Tafsir (Al-Sa‘dī):
They enjoyed secure trade journeys in winter and summer, a unique blessing among the Arabs.
Seasonal routes flourished due to Allah’s protection and the Ka‘bah’s standing.

فَلْيَعْبُدُوارَبَّهَذَاالْبَيْتِ
English Tafsir (Al-Sa‘dī):
Therefore, they must worship the Lord of this House (the Ka‘bah) alone in gratitude.
Exclusive devotion belongs to Allah, whose sanctuary made their prosperity possible.

الَّذِيأَطْعَمَهُمْمِنْجُوعٍوَآمَنَهُمْمِنْخَوْفٍ

He is the One who fed them against hunger and granted them safety from fear.
Provision and security are divine gifts—so direct worship to the Giver, not the means.
