📖 Verse 1
أَلَمْنَشْرَحْلَكَصَدْرَكَ
English Tafsir (Al-Saʿdī):
Allah expanded your chest with guidance, patience, and tranquility for the weight of revelation and mission.
Your breast—made wide with faith, wisdom, and endurance.
📖 Verse 2
وَوَضَعْنَاعَنكَوِزْرَكَ
English Tafsir (Al-Saʿdī):
And We removed from you the heavy burden—what weighed upon your heart and mission.
Your burden—grave weight relieved by Allah’s favor.

ٱلَّذِيأَنقَضَظَهْرَكَ

That burden which nearly broke your back—its heaviness now lifted by your Lord.

And We raised your mention—your name linked with Allah’s in testimony and worship.
Your renown—elevated among creation by divine decree.

فَإِنَّمَعَٱلْعُسْرِيُسْرًا

For indeed, with the hardship is ease—Allah joins relief to difficulty.
“The hardship” (definite) vs. “an ease” (indefinite): assurance of relief accompanying it.

إِنَّمَعَٱلْعُسْرِيُسْرًا

Indeed—with the same hardship—there is ease: a confirmation for certainty.

فَإِذَافَرَغْتَفَٱنصَبْ

So when you finish one task, devote yourself to another—stand and strive in worship and calling to Allah.
