إِنَّاأَنْزَلْنَاهُفِيلَيْلَةِالْقَدْرِ
English Tafsir (Al-Saʿdī):
We sent down the Qur’an on a night of immense rank and blessing—the Night of Decree.

وَمَاأَدْرَاكَمَالَيْلَةُالْقَدْرِ
English Tafsir (Al-Saʿdī):
And what will make you realize the magnitude of the Night of Decree?—its rank is exceedingly great.

لَيْلَةُالْقَدْرِخَيْرٌمِنْأَلْفِشَهْرٍ
English Tafsir (Al-Saʿdī):
The Night of Decree exceeds a thousand months in reward—worship in it is better than a lifetime’s worth outside it.

تَنَزَّلُالْمَلَائِكَةُوَالرُّوحُفِيهَابِإِذْنِرَبِّهِمْمِنْكُلِّأَمْرٍ
English Tafsir (Al-Saʿdī):
The angels and the Spirit (Jibrīl) descend therein with every wise matter by their Lord’s permission—mercy and decrees are dispatched.
