📖 Verse 1
إِذَازُلْزِلَتِالْأَرْضُزِلْزَالَهَا
English Tafsir (Al-Saʿdī):
When the earth is shaken with its destined convulsion—an overwhelming quake that heralds the Reckoning.
Its particular, decreed convulsion—no ordinary tremor.
📖 Verse 2
وَأَخْرَجَتِالْأَرْضُأَثْقَالَهَا
English Tafsir (Al-Saʿdī):
The earth casts forth its burdens—what lay within it of the dead and hidden loads.
Its heavy contents: the dead and all it was laden with.

وَقَالَالْإِنسَانُمَالَهَا
English Tafsir (Al-Saʿdī):
Man exclaims in alarm: “What is with it?”—astonished by the unprecedented upheaval.

يَوْمَئِذٍتُحَدِّثُأَخْبَارَهَا
English Tafsir (Al-Saʿdī):
On that Day the earth will relate its news—bearing witness to what was done upon it.
It testifies, recounting deeds that occurred on it—by Allah’s leave.

بِأَنَّرَبَّكَأَوْحَىٰلَهَا
English Tafsir (Al-Saʿdī):
Because your Lord commanded and inspired it—to speak and to bring forth.

يَوْمَئِذٍيَصْدُرُالنَّاسُأَشْتَاتًالِيُرَوْاأَعْمَالَهُمْ
English Tafsir (Al-Saʿdī):
On that Day people will come forth in groups, separated by their states, to be shown their deeds without any injustice.
Dispersed/varied groups, each according to its condition and record.

فَمَنْيَعْمَلْمِثْقَالَذَرَّةٍخَيْرًايَرَهُ
English Tafsir (Al-Saʿdī):
Whoever does the weight of an atom of good will see it—nothing is lost with Allah.
The tiniest weight imaginable—complete precision in accounting.

وَمَنْيَعْمَلْمِثْقَالَذَرَّةٍشَرًّايَرَهُ
English Tafsir (Al-Saʿdī):
And whoever does the weight of an atom of evil will see it—absolute justice without omission or excess.
