📖 Verse 1

قُلْ أَعُوذُ بِرَبِّ الْفَلَقِ

English Tafsir (Al-Sa‘di):

Say: “I seek refuge in the Lord of daybreak.” The believer begins by seeking Allah’s protection—the Master of dawn and every new beginning.


📖 Verse 2

مِنشَرِّمَاخَلَقَ

English Tafsir (Al-Sa‘di):

From the evil of whatever He created—seeking protection from all harmful creatures and causes.


📖 Verse 3

وَمِنشَرِّغَاسِقٍإِذَاوَقَبَ

English Tafsir (Al-Sa‘di):

And from the evil of the darkness when it settles—night may conceal unseen dangers; we seek Allah’s protection from every harm within it.

وَمِنشَرِّالنَّفَّاثَاتِفِيالْعُقَدِ

English Tafsir (Al-Sa‘di):

And from the evil of the blowers on knots—protection from sorcery and witchcraft which employ tied knots and incantations.

And from the evil of the envier when he envies—seeking refuge from destructive jealousy and the evil eye.
